Personal Project...

We had a session today at work talking about personal goals. Setting them and seeing them come to pass. And at first I didn't think I had one, I'm thinking maybe I do and if I don't then it's not a bad idea to create one. Many ppls contribution was on a wider scale that I would ever dream. I don't care for it to be public, that leaves room for judgment and scrutiny. Which I don't care for, however, the sense of accomplishment I will feel is worth it. Aside from wanting to see a different city every year, I'd like to do something that's fulfilling on a daily or at least more consistent basis. One of my co-workers, two years ago, did 52 Books in 52 Weeks. I thought that was awesome. The scale of literature was a bit different from what I prefer, but admirable being an avid reader myself. So what can I add to my personal mission to make it just a bit more substantial, worthwhile??

We'll see......

I think a good place to start is making a list of the things that I love. Stay tuned...

  1. 52 books in 52 weeks. That is quite a feat. I'm not sure I could get through that many of the kinds of books I like to read in that amount of time, but anything's possible. We all need personal projects... I would imagine that any of our interests, outside of the workplace, pursued with passion can be considered personal projects. Those things that we give us a sense of personal satisfaction and accomplishment help define who we are.
